The Iron Curtain was primarily ment to be a border through Europe, a dividing line between the communist so-called ‘Eastern Bloc’ and the capitalist ‘West’. The border was created after the Second World War and was demolished quite abruptly after the collapse of the power of the communist parties in Eastern Europe and the disintegration of the Soviet empire. The former wall separating East Berlin from West Berlin and the border between East and West Germany was also part of the Iron Curtain.
Of course Berlincredible is about Berlin. But the Iron Curtain, and the stories reach beyond Berlin, throughout Germany.
Fernverbunden is be created to tell some very special stories the Iron Curtain at several distances from Berlin.
